The Monday ride just been was a wild and windy affair although luckily there did not seem to be any major trees down at 7 Mile. Next week we are back at the same location so come along and join the Club and the guys from RnR in another great ride @ 7 Mile. We’ll be meeting as usual at the Wilson Bay carpark at 6pm – Just look for the RnR Sports van. Everyone is welcome to come along, member or not, local or not, come along and join in the fun!

Previous lap times were slashed at the annual Patagonia 8hrs@Jacks yesterday (October 22) when the Placemakers team clocked 20 laps and multisport guru Mark Williams achieved 17 laps in the individual section of the challenging eight hour mountain bike event.
Race Director Geoff Hunt says last year the fastest team recorded 17 laps and the best individual 16 laps.
“These guys were really flying this year and there were some outstanding lap times throughout the day.”

The days are getting longer which can mean only one thing… more time for digging! This week we’ll be starting at 6pm as the light is lasting longer. Come along and help create the new trail into 7 Mile, meet at the 7 Mile carpark (town end) at 6pm. If you can’t make it at 6pm come along when you can, you’ll find the new trail to the left of the DOC sign. Remember, trails don’t build themselves… Build it, Ride it!
