A very happy Lynne Weir picked up her new Commencal Max Max DJ bike from Matt at Arrow Bikes this week. All proceeds from the raffle went to QMTBC so thanks to Arrow Bikes, Blue Shark for donating the bike and all who bought a ticket! Matt started Arrow bikes a couple of years ago and is quickly gaining a reputation for the full range of quality bikes they carry and the high standard of work in the workshop. As well as being able to special order a wide range of bikes the shop stocks high end Commencals as well as GTs, Trek and Cannondale. Arrowtown locals now know they can buy their kids bikes from a local shop as well as get their mountain and road bikes serviced by experienced mechanics. Between them Matt and Jeremey have over 20 years experience in the bike industry as well as being passionate riders themselves, Jeremy recently competed in the Teva Slopestyle in Queenstown so these guys really know how to ride! As owner of Arrow Bikes Matt is keenly aware of the importance of giving back to the biking community as evidenced by the recent donation of a bike to the Queenstown mountain bike club for a fund raising raffle. He has been building trails in the region since arriving in the Wakatipu 10 years ago including the two downhill trails on the Remarkables access road. More recently he has been heavily involved in trail building around Arrowtown and is currently working with local landowners in a project to build a more XC oriented trail from Skippers Saddle down to bush creek.
