Rabbit Ridge soft opening.

Rabbit ridge trail builder ben rafferty showing the trails he built on the trail map
Rabbit Ridge invited a bunch of guys 'n gals from the local bike industry for a soft opening this weekend.  Tom Hey (QMTBC president) reports... We headed out to the new Rabbit Ridge trail centre in Gibbston Valley this weekend. This was just a soft opening to give the local bike industry a tease. Dave Telfer from Gibbston Valley wines gave us a tour (we rode up the honest way - no shuttles!) of the XC trails. We rode some flowy trail with lots of berms, I think I lost count at about 50! The wind was howling but we still had a great time. We hung out at the hub for a while which has a great farm shed vibe to it. Then we shredded back to car via Pylon down. Which went down from the pylons interestingly enough! The Rabbit Ridge crew told us that this is just the start of lots of new trails out there. We love new trails so this is great for the Queenstown biking scene! Keep an eye on their facebook page for news and the official opening.
