Due to our illustrious El Presidente Tom Hey unexpectedly being out of the country the QMTBC committee have decided to move the AGM to Thursday September 26. Why so far away? Tom is away for a wee while but the committee thought it would be a good opportunity to move the AGM to the start of the season to try to latch on to the anticipation and excitement of the coming summer of biking. This gives everyone more time to decide if they would like to stand for the club committee or a subcommittee. So far we only have one official subcommittee but there are a few more on the horizon. Potentially one for 7 Mile, one for Gorge Rd and the odd project based subcommittee for any larger trail building projects that might come along. If anyone is interested in standing for the committee please contact one of the existing committee members who you can contact using the form on the bottom of the About page on the website. If you are unsure about how it all works we can arrange for you to come along to one of the monthly meetings so you can see how we go about things. For those who might be wondering the clubs constitution requires the AGM to be held within 18 months of the previous one. The last AGM was on July 21 last year so September is well within the 18 months required.
