[Press Release from Southern Traverse] As winter slides into spring… no, that is not right for the month of July but it sure feels like it. The office door is half open, the thermoneter says it is 18 degrees in the sunshine here. However the good news is that Coronet Peak blasted beautiful man made snow all night and it looks so darn good (on the trails). Shame we have to work!
Now, the big event is just around the corner, Saturday 3rd August, so this is a reminder of the last minutes details you need to organise. Like actually sending that entry in, or doing it on line!
The long range forecast – well we can’t quite see that far ahead but given the current pattern of weather – we will be using Homeward Bound for skiing. The road down the Remarkables is the best I can remember it – hard and fast with only a few corregations, the lake – a little bouncy today, the track on the run to Arthur’s Point is firm again now after being a bit soft, and the road up Coronet was quite grit free on the bottom at least.
So get those entries in – just click on the button below, it’s just over a week till the Peak to Peak.
See you there.
