NZ Ski Coronet Peak earthworks

NZ Ski would like to inform you and the club of some earth works we are progressing with this year which will temporarily impact some of the mountain biking trails around coronet peak. The largest impact will be after the new year when they plan to start earth works on the new trail to the top of the race course at Rocky gully t- bar which will affect the existing cross country trail there. Here is a map and some photos of the work to be completed: Compressed M1- Wall ST 8th basin t-bar top MTN bike club letter Their plan is to re instate a track after wards but there will be a 4 week period where access will be limited on the section noted.

  1. Hopefully they “re-instate a track” a little quicker this time. It took them over a year last time

    1. Hmm, I seem to remember them having it re-instated before the ski season started but I could be wrong. Regardless I’m just thankful that they do re-instate it as they are under no obligation to so and I think it shows great support of the local community. I know that NZ Ski are always keen to help the club whenever we approach them!
