Queenstown Mountain Bike Club are putting together a 2013 Wall Calendar and are looking for the best photos you’ve taken over the past few years in the Wakatipu Basin.   We want to capture the seasons and the ‘feel’ of the mtb scene here as well as providing an opportunity for you to show your creativity and what mountain biking means to you.  This is a great opportunity to support the club by helping us to create a fabulous fund-raising calendar that every mtb’er in Queenstown will want to hang on their wall. If you are interested in sponsoring a month or supporting the calendar competition by offering prizes or help with production please take a look at our sponsor info pack here.

The calendar competition in now closed to entries – judging will begin soon!

You can enter as many photos as you like and each photo can be entered in more than one theme so you’ll have lots of chances to win.  Winners will get to see their photo and name in print on the calendar and will be presented with a framed copy of their winning photo at a prize-giving in September.  There could also be some great prizes donated by our sponsors – more on this over the next few months.  If you are interested in sponsoring or supporting the calendar competition take a look at our sponsor info pack here.

As the photos come in we’ll post them on the website so you can see what you’re up against.

All the photos need to include at least one mountain bike and rider (except for ‘The Mountain Bike’ theme) and you’re going to have to name the main rider(s) that are in the shot.  All the photos must be taken within the Wakatipu area (for the Riding Area themes the photo must be taken within the named riding area) and the actual location is the second thing you’ll have to name when you enter a photo.  It doesn’t matter when the photo was taken so long as you took it yourself and you know the name of the rider(s) and where it was taken.  You can read the full terms and conditions of the competition here.
