We Need YOU!!! Also see ya at The Big Bike Night...
The QMTBC Committee needs you!
It's been a few years since we had some fresh faces on the committee. It's been the same team working behind the scenes to keep the trails open, and keep new ones appearing. It's time for a few of them to move on. In addition to trail work, the committee are busy keeping memberships up, deals at all the shops, bars etc in town.We liaise with local authorities to make sure our voice is heard. We complete funding applications to source money for the next project. We try and keep in touch with the bike community, the scene. We have challenges that come up and we work together to decide how best to deal with them. There's no denying, it takes some work. You don't get a great deal of street cred or kudos, but what you do get is the immense satisfaction of being involved in something bigger than yourself, bigger than your day to day. To be part of something that is working for the common good of our community by helping make our town the raddest place to live. It's about doing it because it is the right thing to do. We know time is hard to find, believe me, we know. But, if you think you can spare some time, if you think you could be helpful and make the club better, stronger, greater, then let us know.
We'd love to hear from you!
We have a number of positions coming up in the committee at the next AGM (in a month or two.) It's not rocket science and pretty much any of you out there would have the skills. So, if you feel like you want to be involved in the direction the club takes, if you want to make a difference, this is your chance. If you're interested, send us an email email@example.com
